ARLINGTON, Texas (KYMA, KECY) - The Arizona Cardinals silenced AT&T Stadium on Monday night, snapping a five-game losing streak with a 27–17 win over the Dallas Cowboys behind a strong performance from veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett.
Starting in place of the injured Kyler Murray for the third straight game, Brissett delivered one of his most efficient outings of the season throwing for 261 yards and two touchdowns while adding another score on the ground. His leadership steadied an Arizona team that hadn’t won since mid-September, and the Cardinals (3–5) finally found a complete performance on both sides of the ball.
Marvin Harrison Jr. continued his breakout rookie campaign, hauling in a career-high seven catches for 96 yards and a touchdown. Tight end Trey McBride also found the end zone on a 12-yard grab early in the second half as Arizona built a commanding 24–7 lead.
Defensively, the Cardinals made timely plays when it mattered most. Linebacker Mack Wilson forced a key fumble in the first half, and the defense held Dallas to just three points on its first three red-zone trips. Rookie defensive tackle Walter Nolen, making his NFL debut, helped anchor a line that frustrated Dak Prescott for much of the night.
The Cowboys (3–5–1) showed life on special teams when Sam Williams blocked a punt recovered in the end zone by Marshawn Kneeland, cutting the deficit to 10–7 in the second quarter. But Arizona immediately responded with back-to-back touchdown drives, deflating the home crowd and putting the game out of reach.
Prescott finished 21 of 33 for 216 yards and one touchdown, a late 5-yard toss to Ryan Flournoy — the rookie’s first career score. Running back Javonte Williams’ lost fumble in the final minutes ended any hopes of a comeback.
Head coach Jonathan Gannon credited Brissett’s composure and the team’s resilience after the win, saying the group “never stopped believing” through the losing streak.
With the victory, the Cardinals improved to 2–1 in games started by Brissett this season and handed the Cowboys their second straight loss under first-year head coach Brian Schottenheimer.
