The Arizona Cardinals ended a five-game losing streak by beating the Dallas Cowboys 27-17 on Monday night.
The Cowboys cut the Cardinals’ lead to 10 points with the Dallas offense’s only touchdown with 10:51 remaining. But the Cowboys’ final two possessions ended with a fumble at the Arizona 37-yard line and an interception at the Arizona 41-yard line.
The Cardinals won with backup Jacoby Brissett at quarterback. Brissett completed 21-of-31 passes for 261 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions.
Arizona’s first six possessions ended in points – four touchdowns and two field goals, although one of the touchdowns belonged to Dallas, which scored its first points off a blocked punt.

Tyler Booker (Alabama) started at right guard for the Cowboys.
Cowboys cornerback Trikweze Bridges (Lanett) made one tackle.
Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs (Alabama) is on injured reserve and not eligible to play.
Cowboys tight end Rivaldo Fairweather (Auburn) is on the practice squad and not eligible to play.
Cowboys wide receiver Traeshon Holden (Alabama) is on the practice squad and not eligible to play.
Shemar James (Faith Academy) started at linebacker for the Cowboys. James made five tackles, recorded one tackle for loss and registered one quarterback hit.
Cardinals wide receiver Tejhaun Palmer (UAB) is on the practice squad and not eligible to play.
Cardinals inside linebacker Owen Pappoe (Auburn) made one tackle on special teams.
George Pickens (Hoover) started at wide receiver for the Cowboys. Pickens had six receptions for 79 yards.
Cowboys defensive back Reddy Steward (Austin, Troy) made two tackles and recorded the first sack of his NFL career.
Cardinals cornerback Starling Thomas V (Ramsay, UAB) is on injured reserve and not eligible to play.
Cowboys wide receiver Jalen Tolbert (McGill-Toolen, South Alabama) did not record any stats.
Dalvin Tomlinson (Alabama) started at nose tackle for the Cardinals. Tomlinson made one tackle.
Jonah Williams (Alabama) started at right offensive tackle for the Cardinals.
Cowboys defensive end Sam Williams (Lee-Montgomery) blocked a punt that Dallas turned into a touchdown. Williams took a football from Pat O’Donnell’s foot off his facemask on a punt from the Arizona 36-yard line, and Marshawn Kneeland ran down the ball in the end zone for a touchdown that cut the Cardinals’ lead to 10-7 with 3:58 left in the first half. The blocked punt was the second of Williams’ NFL career. In 2023, he blocked a punt against the Los Angeles Rams for a safety.
Mack Wilson (Carver-Montgomery, Alabama) started at inside linebacker for the Cardinals. Wilson tied for the team lead with seven tackles and forced one tackle. Wilson caused Dallas tight end Jake Ferguson to fumble and Arizona recovered the football at its 23-yard line to protect a 10-0 lead with 6:30 left in the first half. Wilson later left the game with a rib injury.

In its next game, Arizona (3-5) plays the Seattle Seahawks at 3:05 p.m. CST Sunday at Lumen Field in Seattle.
Dallas (3-5-1) enters its bye week with two straight losses. The Cowboys’ next game is against the Las Vegas Raiders at 7:15 p.m. Nov. 17 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in the Week 11 Monday game.
