Georginio gives Leeds verdict and reveals what he told Albion about his old club

And he is confident the Elland Road outfit and their fans will be on course for another Premier League season when the Seagulls visit for their final away game in May.

Rutter faced the club he left early last season as Albion won 3-0 at the Amex.

He was heavily involved in the third goal, finished by Diego Gomez.

Rutter was a big favourite in West Yorkshire and caught up with several players and off-field staff members.

But, asked how much information he had passed on to Albion players and staff, he said: “I think they know better than me.

“I didn't have to say something because when I played, they were in the Championship, so it's very different.

“But we knew they have a good team and for the counter-attack as well.

“We had to be careful and I think today we managed the game very well.”

Rutter had a largely positive reaction from Leeds supporters in the South Stand.

He said: “I think me and the fans, we were very close so I was very happy to see them today.

“I hope for them they are going to stay up in the Premier League.

“They have the quality to stay, so I wish them good luck for this season.

“I'm going to play against them in May, as well, at Elland Road.

“When I see the fans, I remember the good thing I had with them, so it was very special today.”

Rutter said the prospect of going back to Elland Road has already crossed his mind.

He added: “I think about it. I have to. I have to play against them and we will see what happens.”
