Wolves suffered a 3-0 defeat to Fulham last Saturday and a day later, they parted ways with manager Vítor Pereira.
Sporting manager Rui Borges was linked to Wolves but claims from Portugal reported on Monday that he’s ruled out a move.
The latest claims from the UK have said Wolves have Erik ten Hag in their list. Journalist David Ornstein reported that his name has been internally discussed at Molineux.
These claims have reached the Dutch press, specifically Algemeen Dagblad, who give their take on this case.
It’s claimed the Premier League club made contact with Ten Hag’s agent on Monday. He was shown the exit door at Bayer Leverkusen after managing only two league matches.
The newspaper say the 55-year-old is ‘seeking revenge’ but there’s a high risk with taking the Wolves job. The English club have failed to win after 10 Premier League matches and are currently bottom of the table.
According to AD, the Dutchman is still considering his immediate future and has several other unnamed options.
Ten Hag spent over two years at Manchester United, winning the EFL Cup and the FA Cup.
