Former Sunderland AFC star Jordan Pickford made an emotional return to the Stadium of Light, with his son part of the special occasion. The goalkeeper graduated from the Sunderland Academy before playing an integral part of the team's 2016-17 campaign.
In 2017, the Washington-born keeper moved to Everton in a £30 million deal. On Monday night, Pickford returned to the Stadium of Light for the first time as an Everton player for a Premier League fixture that ended 1-1.
And, by his side walking onto the pitch was his son, who was wearing a half Sunderland, half Everton football top. Writing on social media, Pickford said: "A special night back at the Stadium of Light.

"Fifteen years as a kid here, first time back as an Everton player, proud to share it with my lad. Football comes full circle."
After coming through the ranks at Sunderland, Pickford moved to Merseyside following the Black Cats’ relegation from the top flight.
