Opinion: David Moyes has to make this his starting XI from now on, it's Everton's best team

Everton manager David Moyes has to make some really bold changes to his starting line-up from now on for things to change.

Everton have won just one game in eight now after the 1-1 draw against Sunderland on Monday night, leaving them in the bottom half of the table.

David Moyes’ side started so well, but allowed Sunderland to come on to them in the second half and many fans felt the changes came far too late.

Toffees supporters couldn’t believe it when Dwight McNeil came on ahead of Tyler Dibling, and the fact that Carlos Alcaraz didn’t get on to the pitch until the 83rd minute.

So with that said, Moyes has to put his trust in the summer signings and make this his starting line-up from now on.

This is Everton’s strongest team

At the moment, Moyes is being far too cautious with his team selections and for whatever reason, isn’t putting much trust in some of the talented summer recruits.

Rohl has looked excellent in the little cameos he’s been afforded, and yet, he’s still awaiting his full Premier League debut.

Tyler Dibling, who cost £40m, can’t even get a sniff, so it’s now time to hand him an opportunity to freshen things up, as the results need to change quickly.

Bringing Dibling in would also allow Ndiaye to play in his more favoured role as a number 10, so hopefully that change would get even more out of arguably Everton’s best player.

The striker situation isn’t ideal, but considering Barry has only started three games, he should at least get a proper run in the side to show what he’s about.

So this is probably the best team Moyes can field at the moment, perhaps Idrissa Gana Gueye is unfortunate to miss out. Although, there have been concerns that Gueye is in decline.

Braiden Graham and Justin Clarke should be considered for the squad

Beto and Thierno Barry are clearly struggling at the moment, so Moyes should seriously consider bringing Braiden Graham into the squad.

Graham has been ‘deadly’ at youth level with the Toffees and could make an impact off the bench against tiring legs.

Another stunning Merseyside derby goal from the weekend. 🤩

The 17-year-old probably isn’t physically ready for the Premier League, but even his inclusion in squads could give the current forwards extra competition to prove themselves.

He could work in a front two, with the other forward able to cover the physical side of the game, whilst the teenager runs in behind and operates as a more fox-in-the-box.

Justin Clarke could even be considered by Moyes, as he’s been flourishing with the 21s this season as a goalscoring wide player.
