Estimated Reading Time: 13 minutes

The halfway point of the NFL regular season has passed, and the first-round rookies are producing varying results each week. As always, we will continue to track their grades and principal opponents as they develop in 2025.

Pick No. 1: Tennessee Titans: QB Cam Ward

Overall Rookie Grade: 55.0 (Rank: 2/3)

Principal Opponent: N/A

Week 9 Snaps: 47

Week 9 Grade: 40.6

Despite assistance from a defensive touchdown and a special teams touchdown, Ward couldn’t muster enough offense to upset the Chargers. He finished this past week’s game with a season-low 40.6 PFF overall grade while committing multiple turnover-worthy plays for the third time in his past four games. Ward’s porous offensive line doesn’t help his cause, but he’s had his share of accuracy woes. His 69.2% adjusted completion rate is the lowest among qualified starting quarterbacks.

Pick No. 2: Jacksonville Jaguars: WR/CB Travis Hunter

Overall Rookie Grade (Offense): 62.2 (Rank: 6/11)

Principal Opponent (Offense): N/A

Principal Opponent (Defense): N/A

Week 9 Defense Snaps: 0

Week 9 Defense Grade: N/A

Hunter was inactive this week due to a knee injury.
