Cowboys still delivering Eagles treats after Halloween with latest laughable loss

And Philadelphia Eagles fans, Halloween was over. The Dallas Cowboys ensured the holiday spirit continued in Philly with a nice treat to close out Week 9.

In a critical home game against the Arizona Cardinals, the Cowboys do what they do best on national television: fall apart. Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was sacked five times, and the offense turned the ball over three times. Arizona, without its starting quarterback Kyler Murray, found a way to win 27-17 over Dallas.

The Cardinals picked up their third win of the season, as they are at the bottom of the NFC West division. Dallas fell to a laughable 3-5-1 record and further fell behind in the NFC East.

Things just keep getting better and better for the Eagles

While it's too early to celebrate yet, the Eagles are looking really good in the NFC East. They lead the division with a 6-2 record and now have a three-game lead on the Cowboys for first place.

Dallas is barely holding on to second place, while the Washington Commanders are just a half game behind them at 3-6. The New York Giants have the dishonor of holding the bottom part of the division with a 2-7 record.

Eagles fans at least have the wonderful thought of knowing the Cowboys have to marinate on this loss for two weeks, as they are not playing in Week 10. The Commanders will face the Detroit Lions, but will be without their starting quarterback, Jayden Daniels, for the foreseeable future with his gruesome arm injury. New York is on the road to take on the Chicago Bears.

As for the Eagles, they have the toughest matchup against the Green Bay Packers on the road. While the Packers are favored to win that game, it's the Eagles that own their destiny in the NFC, unlike any of the other three teams in the NFC East, who will be lucky to play in the postseason.
