Ross Wilson set to make his first recruitment as Newcastle United sporting director ahead of…

**As things stand, we'd be shocked, stunned, flabbergasted and many other synonyms if Newcastle United aren't planning a couple of additions to the squad in January.**

When everyone is fit and firing, there's absolutely no need for recruitment, but so far this season, particularly away from home in the Premier League, something has been missing.

Of course, we have Yoane Wissa missing, although given that he's never kicked a ball for Newcastle, it's hard to know for certain just what he's going to bring to proceedings.

Meanwhile, having Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento missing has caused issues, and with us missing Kieran Trippier on Sunday, our attack had zero support from the fullbacks and which caused big problems.
