Clippers owner Steve Ballmer reportedly sued for trying to ‘funnel millions’ to NBA star

The NBA has seen a number of wild controversies developing over recent months, but the Los Angeles Clippers and their owner Steve Ballmer could be in a world of trouble based on Pablo Torre’s reporting and the stories that have come to light since his in-depth podcasts were released.

For months, Torre has been investigating the Clippers allegedly using a company known as Aspiration to secretly pay NBA superstar Kawhi Leonard under the table when the Western Conference franchise lured the shooter away from the Toronto Raptors in 2019.

Clippers owner Steve Ballmer has been sued by 11 Aspiration investors who allege he used the company "to secretly funnel millions of dollars to star NBA player Kawhi Leonard."

However, Torre has revealed that Aspiration is now reportedly suing Ballmer and the Clippers for using the organization to “funnel millions of dollars to star NBA player Kawhi Leonard.”

On top of the Ballmer drama, Adam Silver and the NBA also face a number of other massive issues pertaining to the FBI sports gambling case that recently saw current and former basketball stars like Chauncey Billups and Terry Rozier arrested.
