Leah Williamson and Michelle Agyemang have been handed further individual accolades, with Leah scooping the Golden Player Woman prize, while Michelle has been named the 2025 European Golden Girl.
The awards, which were created by Italian newspaper Tuttosport, are decided by panels of European football experts and legends. Michelle and Leah have been recognised for incredible seasons for club and country, and become the first English players to win either award.
Leah made 19 appearances in the WSL, scoring two goals, including the equaliser in our dramatic 4-3 comeback win over West Ham United in March. Then on the international stage, Leah became the first English player in history to captain a team to tournament success away from home as they won Euro 2025 in Switzerland.
That was after our No. 6 had made 13 appearances in our successful Champions League campaign, saving her best for last as she put in a world-class defensive display in our 1-0 win over Barcelona.
This award follows on from our vice captain's inclusion in the FIFPRO World 11 alongside Chloe Kelly and Alessia Russo.

Golden Girl recipient Michelle enjoyed a successful season on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion last season, scoring five times in 22 appearances, before lighting the international stage on fire with England.
Our striker scored 41 seconds into her Lionesses debut in the UEFA Nations League against Belgium, earning her a spot alongside Leah in the squad for Euro 2025. Michelle repaid Sarina Wiegman’s faith, scoring vital late equalisers against Sweden and Italy in the knockout stages, in matches England went on to win as they retained their European Championship title. Michelle's exploits saw her named the Young Player of the Tournament.
