The New York Giants are out of the playoff picture and expected to be sellers at the NFL trade deadline.
Sure, there are whispers about trading for a wide receiver just to give Jaxson Dart a little more to work with as he tries to develop down the stretch of this season.
But it makes much more sense for New York to add draft capital and keep building up for the long run around Dart.
That could very well mean dealing away a guy who was once a first-round pick himself: Evan Neal.
NFL insider Josina Anderson wrote on X on Tuesday morning that the Giants want to deal Neal before the 4 p.m. ET deadline.

Neal was the No. 7 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft out of Alabama.
At 6-foot-7 and 340 pounds, Neal was supposed to be a star blocker for a decade-plus.
Instead, he has played 29 games combined across his first three seasons and not yet taken the field in 2025.
It's not clear at this point what Neal might bring back in a trade. But he is 25 years old and has a very strong pedigree.
The Giants don't seem to have Neal in their future plans, so considering a trade of him could be beneficial even if the return isn't anything major.
In a spot like New York is in, the ball has to keep rolling forward, in whatever form that takes. In this case, it might mean trading Neal.
