As Cincinnati continues through the muck of a 3-6 start and a season-shattering 47-42 loss in Week 9 against the Chicago Bears. It left fans, players, and coaches shaking their heads in disbelief. And with superstar quarterback Joe Burrow out until at least mid-December, there promises to be a lot of dark days ahead in Cincy.
Adding to that grief, a former NFL star commented on the play of Bengals rookie Shemar Stewart, who hasn't made the impact that many expected him to when the team drafted him out of Texas A&M. After another disappointing week, retired veteran Kam Chancellor fired a sharp shot at the first-year player.
"Shemar Stewart is a guy born with Size and Athleticism, however he don’t love football," Chancellor posted on social media. "He loves what it can do for him financially. You can see it in his play."

Chancellor played nine seasons for the Seattle Seahawks, where he was a two-time NFL All-Pro and helped the team win Super Bowl XLVII. So when it comes to hard play and winning, the former 'Legion of Boom' defender knows of what he speaks.
Drafted in the first round (17th overall) in the 2025 NFL draft, Stewart hasn't lived up to the hype thus far. The defensive end has been slowed by injuries and inconsistency and has recorded two tackles and zero sacks on the year.
