The Buffalo Bills delivered their most complete performance of the season in a Week 9 victory against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The win carried significant weight beyond the final score as Buffalo controlled both sides of the ball against a team that has dominated this rivalry in the postseason.
The result has shifted how some analysts view the Bills’ championship potential heading into the second half of the season.
FOX Sports host Chris Broussard offered a new assessment of Buffalo’s standing among the AFC contenders.
“I said last week, if (the Bills) don’t win, they’re a good team, good playoff team, no chance of getting to the Super Bowl. They’ve proven to me that they are a legitimate Super Bowl contender. And I get it. Had they lost, everybody else would have felt like, ‘Oh, they’re still a contender.’ But I would not have really given him a chance to get to the Super Bowl. I’m giving him that chance now,” Broussard said.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen led an offense that found consistent success against a Chiefs defense that entered with strong metrics.
Buffalo accumulated 404 total yards while dominating time of possession at 34:45, compared to Kansas City’s 25:15.
The Bills converted third downs and sustained drives that kept Patrick Mahomes off the field for extended stretches.
Buffalo’s defense also produced its most impressive showing in weeks.
It limited Mahomes to a career-low 44.1 percent completion rate while holding Kansas City to 79 rushing yards.
The Bills secured a crucial tiebreaker that could determine playoff seeding and home-field advantage should the teams meet again.
Buffalo has struggled against Kansas City in the postseason, but this statement win demonstrated the Bills can compete with the Chiefs when executing at their highest level.
