Everton midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has just released a statement to supporters after the 1-1 draw against Sunderland.
Despite on paper a decent point against Sunderland, Everton came away from the Stadium of Light really disappointed.
The Toffees started the game so well and went 1-0 up through Iliman Ndiaye, but after Thierno Barry’s miss to extend their lead, they just went into their shell and allowed Sunderland to dominate.
David Moyes’ substitutes were questioned by supporters as he failed to bring on Merlin Rohl and Tyler Dibling. Dwight McNeil even came on ahead of the £40m man.
That said, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has now released an honest statement on how he feels about the disappointing game.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall statement to Everton fans
Dewsbury-Hall has released a statement on his Instagram account venting his frustrations about the Sunderland performance.
“As good as it was, you can’t rely on playing well 35 minutes to win games of football at this level,” the Toffees midfielder wrote.
“It takes a whole lot more than that for the entire 90 minutes to win, carrying on how we started the game. We knew that and it’ll happen.

Nevertheless – Thank you for the amazing support, truly appreciated.”
Clearly an honest assessment of the game and something which Moyes will be well aware of heading into Fulham on the weekend.
How Everton can sustain a good performance for 90 minutes
Moyes and his coaches will no doubt be working tirelessly at Finch Farm this weekend, working on solutions to maintain a good performance for the whole 90 minutes.
Taking a look at his substitutions on Monday, it’s quite obvious that Moyes made the changes far too late and allowed the Black Cats to get wind in their sails.
Beto (57′)
McNeil (62′)
Alcaraz (83′)
Iroegbunam (83′)
First of all, the decision to bring McNeil on over Dibling was baffling, but from that point onwards, Moyes didn’t make another change until the 83rd minute.
Against Fulham, he has to be ready to make bolder substitutes and bring on more quality in Dibling, Rohl and Alcaraz.
The Toffees boss seems to be really reluctant to bed the summer signings into his plans, despite many of them possessing much greater talent.
