The Chelsea Chronicle understands that the Blues have been extremely impressed with the progress made by RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande.
Chelsea have made it no secret that they enjoy being well-stocked in the wide areas, and made it their mission to strengthen these positions over the summer.
They brought in both Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens to compete for minutes on the left, while Estevao Willian’s signature was secured months before his summer arrival.

Chelsea ‘hugely impressed’ by ‘special’ Yan Diomande
This has seemingly not deterred the club’s interest in further strengthening in the position, and transfer insider Graeme Bailey has exclusively told The Chelsea Chronicle about the club’s interest in Diomande.
Bailey stated that the Blues were knowledgeable of his abilities before his move to the Bundesliga, and remain very impressed with what he is doing at just 18 years of age.
He said: “Diomande is special, Chelsea know all about him – indeed I am told they are one of the clubs who saw him in Spain before Leipzig swooped.
“His progress has been startling – Chelsea love a wide player and their scouts have been hugely impressed with Diomande – he is one we need to keep an eye on.”

Who is Yan Diomande?
Despite being just 18, Diomande has already started making a serious impact in one of the Bundesliga’s top sides.
The Ivorian only joined over the summer, however already has three goals and three assists to his name in domestic competitions this season.
Last month saw Diomande become a full international for the Ivory Coast, and he is off to a flying start with them too. He has scored twice in his first two games.
Chelsea have not hesitated to spend big money on Leipzig players before, however will note that their track history is not the best so far.
The Blues signed both Timo Werner and Christopher Nkunku from the German side, however neither replicated their excellent showings in Germany in the Premier League.
