According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, he reported on his Twitter page,
“ESPN sources: Raiders are trading WR Jakobi Meyers to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for fourth- and sixth-round picks. Multiple teams including the Steelers and Jaguars had shown interest in Meyers, who is scheduled to become a free agent after his contract expires this season.”
Despite that trade, the Jacksonville Jaguars will still have 11 picks remaining in the 2026 NFL Draft. A reason why Jacksonville made this move is because injuries to Travis Hunter and Brian Thomas Jr. at the moment. The Jaguars have a 5-3 record this season and the Raiders have a 2-6 record. They just played each other on Sunday afternoon.

HUGE missed opportunity for a good consistent NFL starting WR Only 20% of 4th round picks r consistent NFL starters Vrabel needs to realize in a down year in the AFC the opportunity Pats have stop being afraid to trade even a 4th round pick! Current roster=1st round playoff exit.

There are some Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills, and New England Patriots fans who are not thrilled with this move. They also need help at wide receiver. There will plenty of more trades made throughout the day. The Jaguars are currently the seventh seed in the AFC, and this was a huge move for them. As for the Raiders, they made trade away more players than just Meyers before the end of the day.
