**David Hopkinson spoke about a 100-day review of the operations at Newcastle United and warned that anyone not singing from the same hymn sheet would be moved on.**
It seems some people have already fallen victim to this review in one way or another, as several board members have left or are leaving their roles.
The most high-profile of which is Chief Commercial Officer Peter Silverstone, who has been placed on gardening leave as he looks to be heading to Juventus.
This brings to an end a three-year association with the club during which Silverstone was key in bringing Adidas back to the club and launching the partnership with STACK.

Peter Silverstone isn't the only executive leaving the club
-----------------------------------------------------------
Despite those successes, though, the training ground, our training kit and St James' Park all go without a big commercial partner, which many had expected to happen pretty swiftly following his arrival.
As well as Silverstone, [The Chronicle](https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-boardroom-peter-silverstone-32809165) mentions that Newcastle's Director of People and Talent, Dominica O'Neil, is also expected to leave.
Partnership Marketing Executive Joe Mack is heading to Liverpool as well, leaving several gaps to fill in the corridors of power.
The staff turnover at the highest level of the club over the last four years has been insane

How much of this is down to Hopkinson's arrival or 100-day review, we'll probably never truly know, but the timing is certainly suspicious, isn't it?
It now remains to be seen whether the club will seek direct replacements or rejig the company structure to do without those roles, or combine them into other existing roles.
We long for the days of some stability behind the scenes. May they come sooner rather than later.
