When the Jacksonville Jaguars restructured a handful of contracts in October, it seemed like they were making space to pull off a big trade. However, they've stayed relatively quiet ahead of the November 4 deadline at 4 p.m. ET. Meanwhile, the division rival Indianapolis Colts could be ready to take a wild swing.
Twitter user Rickey says that Indy could be preparing to trade for Trey Hendrickson, noting that they gave the Cincinnati Bengals a call about the four-time Pro Bowl nod. Below's the original post.
Sounds like the #Colts are calling teams and trying to land a cornerback before today's 4 pm deadline.

Rickey isn't an "official" insider, but has a great track record of breaking news. He dropped the scoop that the Green Bay Packers were trading for Micah Parsons. If the Colts do manage to land Hendrickson, it would spell trouble for the Jags.
Trey Hendrickson would be a huge nightmare for the Jaguars
The Jaguars were reportedly looking for help at defensive tackle at the deadline, but their pass rush could also use a boost. Landing Trey Hendrickson would be huge, but the issue is that Cincinnati's asking price of a first-round pick might be too high. Based on what Rickey says, though, the Colts could be willing to meet it. If that's the case, their defensive line would go from good to great.
Already, Indianapolis has bookend pass rushers Laiatu Latu and Kwity Paye, along with defensive tackle DeForest Buckner and Grover Stewart. Hendrickson would be a cherry on top.
A third-round pick in 2017, Hendrickson needed a couple of years to hit his stride but established himself as one of the top pass rushers in the NFL in 2020. He's logged 74.5 sacks since then and has registered four this season. The Colts, for their part, have posted 26 sacks.
The Colts are the biggest roadblock on the Jaguars' path to the AFC South title
It's worth noting that the Jaguars have yet to play the Colts this season, so they would have to face Trey Hendrickson if Indianapolis were able to trade for him. That would make an already tough matchup even more difficult.
Daniel Jones is enjoying a career renaissance in Indianapolis. And some of his success is due to Jonathan Taylor having a banner season. Couple that with the fact that the offensive line is doing a great job of blocking upfront, and the Colts offense could be tough to contain.
Now, add a Hendrickson-led pass rush, and Jacksonville could have its hands full. Sure, Trevor Lawrence was brought down just once against the Las Vegas Raiders, but their defensive line, Maxx Crosby notwithstanding, doesn't necessarily instill fear in opposing defenses. Moreover, in the prior two games, the Jags gave up a combined 14 sacks. Simply, the Colts will be tough to handle.
Ultimately, it's not a given that the Colts will trade for Trey Hendrickson, but if they do, the Jaguars' path to the AFC South title will increase considerably.
