Seahawks trade with Saints for WR Rashid Shaheed, per report

The Seattle Seahawks have reportedly made a deal ahead of Tuesday’s 1 p.m. NFL trade deadline.

Per NFL.com’s Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport, the Seahawks have agreed to a trade with the New Orleans Saints for wide receiver Rashid Shaheed.

The news was reported just before 10 a.m. Pacific Tuesday.

The speedy Shaheed will be reunited in Seattle with offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, who is in his first season with the Seahawks after spending 2024 as the Saints’ OC.

Shaheed, 27, has 499 receiving yards on 44 catches and 66 targets with two touchdowns this season. He is a Weber State product who made the Pro Bowl in 2023 as a returner.

He joins a Seattle offense that includes the NFL’s leading receiver, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and rookie standout Tory Horton. The Seahawks played in their win Sunday at Washington without veteran Cooper Kupp, who is dealing with heel and hamstring issues.
