Former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood has made a very glowing claim about Everton winger Jack Grealish.
Everton have Jack Grealish on a season-long loan deal from Manchester City, but already talks are beginning over a permanent deal.
Grealish has rediscovered his best form on Merseyside and is currently top of the Premier League assists charts.
James Garner reckons Grealish is one of the best players in the league, that’s how highly he’s rated by his teammates.
Now, Tim Sherwood has made another bold comment about the 30-year-old.

Tim Sherwood compares Jack Grealish to Paul Gascoigne
Speaking on The Managers YouTube channel, Sherwood has likened Grealish to Paul Gascoigne and noted that he has a trait about him that not even Patrick Vieira and Roy Keane had.
“He is a maverick. He’s a throwback. I say to him, ‘your nearest thing I’ve seen to Paul Gascoigne’, and Paul Gascoigne used to destroy me.’
“You know, you know, you go and play against Patrick (Vieira) and Roy (Keane) and you know, when you get close to him, they’ll pass the ball.

“Whereas Gaza used to make you look stupid and want to make you look stupid. Yeah. You know, it was just a bit of fun for him.
“The audacity where he had and Jack’s got that, you know, and I think he’s playing with freedom for Moyes now a little bit more.”
Jack Grealish’s attacking statistics are phenomenal
As Sherwood was referring to, Grealish’s ball-carrying abilities are up there with some of the best this country has produced.
That’s certainly evinced by his FBref statistics, as he ranks in the top one per cent for progressive carries per 90 compared to his positional peers across Europe.
The 39-cap England international also sits in the top two per cent for pass completion rate, amplifying how effective he is at maintaining possession.
Someone of his profile should really be in the England squad, as he brings something totally unique to other wingers.
Grealish has one more game against Fulham this weekend to prove himself to Thomas Tuchel before the squad is named for the upcoming international break.
