Tyler Dibling was snubbed once again by David Moyes in Everton’s draw against Sunderland, and Jamie Carragher thinks he knows exactly why.
Everton have now taken just one point from their last three Premier League games, with the solid start to the term hitting some turbulence.
Goals are the clear issue for Moyes, who witnessed a big miss from summer signing Thierno Barry at the Stadium of Light.
Moyes admitted Dwight McNeil impressed him in Everton training, which saw him come on as a substitute instead of Dibling in the second half.
The 19-year-old summer signing has now played just 62 minutes of Premier League football for the Toffees.
However, Carragher has now shared exactly why he thinks Moyes is not relying on his big-money summer addition.

Jamie Carragher shares Tyler Dibling theory amid Everton struggles
It is believed that Dibling has impressed Everton coaches in training back at Finch Farm, but that has not translated into minutes.
The 19-year-old has been an unused substitute in Everton’s last two games, with only four minutes coming against Manchester City.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
During Monday Night Football on Sky Sports, Carragher admitted he thinks Everton’s worrying results are preventing Moyes from trusting his youngsters.
“As you know, I was an Evertonian as a kid. So, I’ve got a lot of friends and family who are Evertonians, and one of them messaged me during the game that he was not happy about Dibling not coming on instead of Dwight McNeil,” said Carragher.
“So, there’s certainly frustration among the Everton fans as to how much Dibling’s being used at this moment.”
“I think David Moyes is probably not in a position where he’s got this fear in the back of his mind about Everton getting dragged into a scrap. He’s not in a position where he’ll think: ‘I’ll try a young player and see how he does’.”
Carragher is right, Everton fans are worried about Dibling and how his talent is being handled on Merseyside.
But it would appear that the 19-year-old may be left waiting for his opportunity with results failing to pick up for the Blues.
Dibling could be the spark Everton need
Clearly, there is not enough evidence that Dibling could be the answer Moyes needs right now, but there will be a lot of fans wanting to see him over McNeil.
Paul Scholes was stunned after hearing Everton wanted Dibling earlier in the summer, having watched him last season at Southampton.

The winger is a player who has seriously caught the eye of those around the Premier League.
Despite this, opportunities are few and far between for an Everton side struggling to find the back of the net.
Moyes has asked for patience over Dibling, but the youngster’s development is coming to a standstill whilst not being exposed to regular minutes.
