Brenden Aaronson is running out of chances at Leeds.
The American was given another opportunity to establish himself at Elland Road by Daniel Farke ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, having spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Union Berlin – an unproductive time which yielded just two goals and two assists in 38 appearances.
Brenden Aaronson did manage to get himself back in the starting XI with 43 starts in the Championship last term – albeit hardly shining with just nine goals – and interest in Ismael Saibari really ought to inject some urgency into the United States international after a poor start to this season.
The situation involving Brenden Aaronson
This current campaign could well be the 25-year-old’s last at Leeds.
Aaronson will only have 12 months remaining on his deal at the end of the season, and Leeds will presumably look to sell unless he suddenly bursts into life – or else the 49ers risk taking a severe PSR hit having spent £25m on him in May 2022.

At the moment, it feels like a sale is more likely than the man from Medford staying, given the fact he can only boast one goal involvement in ten Premier League appearances so far this term.
Ismael Saibari interest needs to spark Brenden Aaronson into life
Now, Leeds United News have been told that there is interest in Saibari of PSV Eindhoven – a player who operates in the same attacking midfield position as Aaronson.

The fact the 49ers are looking at such a profile firmly suggests they are not happy with what the American is showing, and are searching for a direct replacement.
Unlike Aaronson, Saibari has excelled this term, scoring ten goals in 15 games for PSV Eindhoven, while also providing one assist.
Hopefully, the Leeds No.11 catches wind of the fact his role in the starting XI is potentially going to be under threat by a new arrival in January, and it can spark an upturn in the level of his performances.
