New York, after already [completing a blockbuster trade](https://nesn.com/2025/11/jets-reportedly-trade-sauce-gardner-in-nfl-trade-deadline-blockbuster/) that sent cornerback Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts, [made another shocking move](https://x.com/RapSheet/status/1985785451802718619) by sending defensive tackle Quinnen Williams to the Dallas Cowboys, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.

Dallas will send defensive tackle Mazi Smith, a future first-round pick and a future second-round pick in return.

Williams, 27, will become the new face of a defense that has recently undergone significant turnover, which started with trading linebacker Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers. Williams comes with his contract already situated, as he received a 4-year, $96 million extension in 2023 and runs through 2027.
