Cowboys in the process of finalizing trade for DT Quinnen Williams

**FRISCO, Texas –** The Dallas Cowboys are in the process of finalizing a trade for New York Jets All-Pro defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, sending a 2026 second-round pick, a 2027-first round pick and DT Mazi Smith in return to New York.

The Jets will receive the better of Dallas' two 2027 first-round picks.

Williams, 27, has made the Pro Bowl in each of the last three seasons for the Jets. Now, Dallas adds more depth up front on the defensive line alongside Kenny Clark and Osa Odighizuwa.

In Dallas, Williams will reunite with his former defensive line coach Aaron Whitecotton, who is now with the Cowboys in the same role. So far this season, Williams has tallied 32 tackles, seven tackles for loss, three forced fumbles and a sack through eight games this year.

In July of 2023, Williams signed a four-year, $96 million contract extension with the Jets, leaving him under contract through the 2027 season and making him an unrestricted free agent in 2028, meaning the Cowboys

The trade for Williams' is Dallas' second of the day, both of which have been on the defensive side of the ball. Earlier on Tuesday, Dallas sent a 2026 seventh-round pick to the Bengals for LB Logan Wilson, as Jerry Jones backed up his claims that the team had several moves "in the works."
