DENVER — The Denver Broncos are back in the throwback uniforms at home this week to take on the Las Vegas Raiders in a division clash on Thursday Night Football. After winning six games in a row, the Broncos are hungry from more to keep their lead in the AFC West, and have a big opportunity to make a statement in the division against the struggling Raiders.
For Vegas, the silver and black are coming off a gut-wrenching overtime loss against the Jaguars last week in which the winning 2-point conversion was batted down at the line of scrimmage. They have just a 2-6 record this season, and the Pete Carroll/Geno Smith era already looks to be a lost cause. Rookie running back Ashton Jeanty has been impossible to tackle this season, and could pose some challenges for a Broncos defense that could be very banged up following a short week of rest.
The Raiders lead the all-time series 73-56-2, with the last game being a 29-19 Broncos victory last November. The Broncos swept the season series last year, but had lost the previous eight matchups against their most-hated division rival.
Here’s everything you need to know about Thursday’s contest.
