The last two Chelsea players named in FIFPRO World XI before Cole Palmer

Cole Palmer is not the first Chelsea player to be selected for the FIFPRO World XI.

In the past, John Terry has also been included, with the Chelsea legend being one of the greatest defenders of his time.

In fact, Terry was named in the FIFPRO World XI for five consecutive seasons, which is quite some achievement.

However, you do not have to go as far back as Terry’s days to find another Chelsea star who has also been selected for the team.

N’Golo Kante and Jorginho made 2021 FIFPRO World XI

N’Golo Kante and Jorginho were at their peak four years ago, and their performances then were clearly recognised after they were included in the 2021 FIFPRO World XI.

Both footballers played pivotal roles in Chelsea’s Champions League triumph, while Jorginho also went on to win Euro 2020 with Italy.

Ultimately, there was no choice but to include the two midfielders, who were joined by Kevin De Bruyne in the engine room.

Kante is a very unique player, yet Chelsea have managed to find a very similar player to him in Moises Caicedo.

The 24-year-old is having a brilliant season so far, helping his side to beat Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 last Saturday after his fantastic bit of pressing resulted in a chance for Joao Pedro, which the Brazilian took.

Caicedo was snubbed for this year’s FIFPRO World XI, but the Ecuadorian can consider himself unfortunate. He has been sensational in 2025.

2021 FIFPRO World XI had ludicrous four-man attack

The midfield chosen for the 2021 FIFPRO World XI was amazing, but the attack was something else.

Four players were included in the front line: Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Erling Haaland and Robert Lewandowski.

A lot of goals in that team, but it would be interesting to see them try and defend. There is no way that Ronaldo and Messi are going to track back! Even with Kante in the side, things could get a bit ugly.
