In the end, the Philadelphia Eagles were never going to trade A.J. Brown.
He gets frustrated, as any star wide receiver does when he doesn't get the targets he wants.
But he hasn't expressed a desire to leave. And the Eagles certainly didn't have good enough reason to trade him away.
The NFL trade deadline came and went at 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, and Brown didn't go anywhere.

Why didn't the Eagles trade A.J. Brown?
GM Howie Roseman spoke with reporters after the deadline on Tuesday and explained why Brown wasn't moved.
It makes sense of course, but it's still a strong answer from Roseman.
"When you're trying to be a great team, it's hard to trade great players," Roseman said. "A.J. Brown is a great player. He wears the 'C' for a reason. He's an important part of this team, of this organization. He cares about winning. He cares about his teammates. I think that when you're a team like ours that's looking forward to the opportunity to compete for a championship, you just don't get rid of the guys like that. Feel very lucky to have him on our team and excited about the second half of the season with him."
The Eagles are trying to defend their Super Bowl title.
Brown joins with DeVonta Smith to be a star wide receiver duo.
It would've been subtraction to trade him, and the Eagles were never going to subtract before the deadline. Brown is still in town.
