Report | Spurs 4-0 FC Copenhagen

Micky van de Ven scored one of _the_ great European goals as we put together a memorable performance to beat FC Copenhagen 4-0 in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.

The defender picked up the ball on the edge of our penalty area and sprinted the length of the pitch, leaving four Copenhagen players in his wake before slotting past Dominik Kotarski - nine seconds from the start to the ball hitting the back of the net.

The goal bore an uncanny resemblance to Heung-Min Son's famous solo goal against Burnley here in December, 2019 - a goal that went on to win FIFA's Puskas Award.

That doesn't tell the whole story though...

We were cruising at 2-0 up - goals from Brennan Johnson and Wilson Odobert - approaching the hour, when Johnson received a straight red for a tackle. However, that only prompted an electric spell, kick-started by van de Ven's goal, with Joao Palhinha off the bench to add the fourth three minutes later.
