Pelicans Announce Troubling Zion Williamson Injury News

New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson is out for 7-10 days due to a grade 1 hamstring strain, keeping him out for at least a week of action before being reevaluated.

The injury is to his left hamstring. He will miss Tuesday’s game against the Charlotte Hornets.

Williamson just played on Sunday, putting up 20 points, nine rebounds, and six assists on 7-of-14 shooting. Tuesday’s game will be the second game of the season that he misses.

The forward had already missed a game due to a left bone contusion; now his hamstring is flaring up.

The Pelicans have gone off to an awful start, boasting an NBA-worst 0-6 record. Head coach Willie Green’s job is under scrutiny, and with a need for results, it will be tough sledding for New Orleans without its best player.
