The 76ers aren’t the team that they were last year. Instead of revolving around an injured Joel Embiid and an aging Paul George, they’re now powered by a dynamic young guard rotation.

Tyrese Maxey has established himself as an All-Star already, but now he’s being joined by rookie V.J. Edgecombe, who’s quickly made a positive impact. Jared McCain also picked up where he left off last season. He’s missed Philadelphia’s last few games with a thumb injury, but could be making his return to the lineup as early as Tuesday’s matchup against the Chicago Bulls.

Embiid is still an important part of Philadelphia’s attack, but he isn’t the focal point like he’s been for the better part of the last decade. At least, he hasn’t been through the first few weeks of the season.

The Cavs are set to have their own dynamic backcourt for the first time this season. Garland will provide a level of ball handling and playmaking that this group has desperately needed. He should also relieve some of the pressure off of Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley, who’ve needed to take turns carrying the offense through their first seven games.

Wednesday’s game will be on FanDuel Sports Network Ohio in the Cleveland TV market. If you’re interested in watching the game for free with a one-month free trial to the FanDuel Sports Network App, you can do so by entering our code SBNFALL30.
