“One of the most memorable occurrences was when I worked with the St. Louis Hawks for the whole time they were in St. Louis, and won the NBA Championship in 1958,” Levitt told the St. Louis Jewish Light in 2005. “That was certainly memorable.”

Levitt went on to scout for NBA teams for 34 years, was a public address announcer for the NHL’s St. Louis Blues, and founded the St. Louis Aces of WorldTeam Tennis.
