A Steelers Depot daily segment. A quick hit of some Pittsburgh Steelers-related stories that may not require a complete article, but nuggets worth mentioning and passing on to you guys.

DOLPHINS TRADE AWAY PASS RUSHER

The Steelers are set to play the Miami Dolphins in Week 15. While the Dolphins had playoff aspirations before the season started, those hopes are gone now. They’re currently 2-7, and they’ve already fired their general manager. That didn’t stop them from selling pieces off before the trade deadline, too.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter announced on Twitter that the Dolphins traded edge rusher Jaelan Phillips to the Philadelphia Eagles. In return, they acquired a 2026 third-round pick. Phillips was a 2021 first-round pick, and he’s shown promise. He’s got three sacks this year. Hopefully, that makes the Steelers’ game against the Dolphins easier, although wins in the NFL rarely come without difficulty.

RODGERS-COLTS INTERACTIONS

Aaron Rodgers is currently the oldest active player in the NFL. He’s 41 years old, and he’ll turn 42 soon. Rodgers has been in the league since 2005, and many active players grew up watching him. He’s a legend of the game. That much was obvious during his recent game against the Colts.

The NFL shared a video on Twitter showing Rodgers interacting with several Colts players. Many of them asked for Rodgers’ jersey. Even though they’re all professionals, it shows how much respect other players have for Rodgers.

CHARGERS DEAL CB

The Steelers play the Los Angeles Chargers this week. Although the Chargers are 6-3 and look like one of the best teams in the AFC, they have some major issues. That includes along the offensive line. Both of their starting tackles are out for the season due to injuries. That led them to trade for Trevor Penning. However, that wasn’t the only deal that they made.

The Chargers also traded defensive back Ja’Sir Taylor to the New York Jets for a 2028 conditional seventh-round pick. Taylor was originally a 2022 sixth-round pick by the Chargers. He’s appeared in all nine games for the Chargers this season, so that leaves their defensive back room a little thinner before they play the Steelers.
