Former Bucks center Robin Lopez has the best reaction to Luka Doncic-led Lakers trio nickname

Former Milwaukee Bucks big man Robin Lopez has decided to join in on the trending Los Angeles Lakers trio bandwagon — sort of.

Amid the Lakers’ success so far in the 2025-26 NBA season, thanks in large part to the triumvirate of Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves and Jake LaRavia, basketball fans have brainstormed on social media about ideas for the best nickname for the trio. Among which is “Snowtime Lakers,” which is a nod to the exciting LA teams in the 1980s, which featured none other than the likes of Magic Johnson, Byron Scott and Michael Cooper.

Well, Lopez had finally caught on to the nickname, apparently.

“Why am I just learning about the Snowtime Lakers??” Lopez wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that came with a repost of another post that referred to Doncic, LaRavia and Reaves as the “TRES LECHES.”

Although Lopez hasn’t officially retired from basketball, it’s been a while since he last played in the NBA. A journeyman, Lopez last suited up for the Bucks in the 2023-24 NBA season, which was also his second stint with the team. He previously played for them in the 2019-20 campaign.

In two total seasons with Milwaukee, Lopez, whose brother Brook also played for several seasons with the Bucks, averaged 4.6 points and 2.0 rebounds through 82 games, including seven starts. Lopez also had stints with the Phoenix Suns, Chicago Bulls, Portland Trail Blazers, New Orleans Hornets, New York Knicks, Washington Wizards and Cleveland Cavaliers.
