Why Kawhi Leonard isn't playing tonight for Clippers vs. Thunder with injury news

The Los Angeles Clippers get a big test on Tuesday night.

They take on the Oklahoma City Thunder, and a national audience gets to watch the NBC broadcast, too.

But the Clippers won't be at full strength.

Among the absences are Kawhi Leonard and Bradley Beal.

It's a special bummer for Leonard, who would've raised his game to the level of the defending NBA champions.

Why isn't Kawhi Leonard playing tonight?

Leonard is out for Tuesday night's game due to injury.

The Clippers ruled him out due to an ankle sprain.

Leonard came into the night averaging 24.3 points per game this season.

Without him, John Collins may move into the Clippers' starting lineup, and James Harden should see a larger usage rate than usual.

The Thunder enter the game at 7-0. The Clippers being without Leonard is not a great chance of them pulling off the upset.
