Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor addressed his players' public frustrations about the team's season, expressing surprise following the most recent defeat. It comes as Sauce Gardner showed his true colors after a crushed young New York Jets fan's reaction to his trade.
On Sunday, the Bengals faced the Chicago Bears in a high-scoring contest, and despite putting up 42 points, Cincinnati surrendered 47 points. The Bengals became the first team since the 1960s to score 38 or more points in consecutive games and lose both.

"Not if you're not doing everything you can on your own," he told reporters Monday when asked if he wanted his players to have the freedom to vent. "I've pointed that out with Chase. You know, there's two big plays that we could have done better that would have led to points.
"And so I think I liked [Bengals star receiver Ja'Marr Chase] a little bit better. I can tell Ja'Marr's frustrated, but he doesn't want guys coming at him if he's had a poor performance or something that he was disappointed in.
"So I trust that that's a one-time thing and we'll learn from that. That's not how we want to react. And one of our best players, one of our highest character players, I think in a moment of frustration said that, and I don't expect that to happen again."

Following the disappointing loss to Chicago, star running back Brown voiced his frustrations about the team's performance.
"We put the ball in the end zone and go up a point at the end," an irate Brown said after the game [h/t SB Nation]. "Finish the f---ing game. Just end it. That's it. That's what we need to do. Just end the f---ing game."
Taylor is working to regain control of his team and the locker room. He believes that the solution to the Bengals' struggles lies within the organization and in maintaining consistency in their efforts.
"And so again, I believe in the people that we've hired," Taylor said.

"I sit in there, I watch these guys coach. I know what they're made of. I know where we can continue to grow. And so when you believe in people, you don't just make a gut reaction from what people want to see that aren't necessarily a part of it.

"I understand the frustration. I get it. I'd be frustrated too if I was outside the building. We're going to get it fixed.
"We're going to continue to work it. I trust every coach we've got in this building to get it done, or else they wouldn't be here. ... And so again, I've got firm belief that we can get this done and we can do it with the players we have and find a way to get some wins.
"And again, there's some things we've got to clean up, we've got to do better. There's a coaching side of that too where we've got to find ways to push the right buttons for these guys to get them exactly to do it how we want to do it. But I trust that we can get that done."
