Tom Brady has shared that his current dog, Junie, is a clone of his late dog, Lua, whom he shared with his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, and their two children. Meanwhile, NFL star Sauce Gardner showed his true colors after a crushed young New York Jets fan's reaction to his blockbuster trade.
Lua, a pit bull mix, died in December 2023. But shortly afterward, Brady brought home another, strikingly similar-looking dog in Junie. The young pup has since become a regular fixture on the NFL legend's social media feeds, alongside their other much smaller dog, Fluffy.

Thanks to the work of Colossal Biosciences, in which Brady is an investor, the company has successfully cloned the pit bull mix using a blood sample collected before her death.
"I love my animals. They mean the world to me and my family," the former NFL star said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE.
"A few years ago, I worked with Colossal and leveraged their non-invasive cloning technology through a simple blood draw of our family's elderly dog before she passed."

Brady expressed his gratitude to the company, stating it "gave my family a second chance with a clone of our beloved dog," and shared he's "excited how Colossal and Viagen's tech together can help both families losing their beloved pets while helping to save endangered species."
The announcement coincides with Colossal's recent acquisition of Viagen Pets and Equine, a company known for cloning dogs for celebrities like Barbra Streisand and Paris Hilton.
Colossal, the biotech firm, now has "exclusive licensing and access to the breakthrough technologies" developed by the Roslin Institute of Edinburgh, famous for cloning Dolly the Sheep in the late '90s, as reported to PEOPLE.
Bündchen and Brady, who split in 2022, adopted Lua during their marriage.

"She will forever live in our hearts. We already miss her sooooo much! #unconditionallove RIPLua."
