A look at the early injury news surrounding Tottenham and Manchester United as they prepare to face off in the Premier League.
Spurs are sixth in the real table, largely thanks to the fact they are top of the Premier League’s away table. United are just two places lower and only goal difference behind after a draw with Nottingham Forest last weekend. Here we round up the early injury news surrounding both teams going into this game.
Lisandro Martinez - Out
'He wants to go to this one, he is not going to, he is going to take time. He started training with us, but we had to change some things in the exercise for him, so slowly he is going to get better. He is really good. He gives us that edge in every training session.'
Martinez is out until late November as he looks to return from his serious knee injury. Ruben Amorim has said: “He wants to go to this one, he is not going to, he is going to take time. Lucas Bergvall - Out
Bergvall will miss this game, as confirmed by Frank. He said before the Copenhagen game: “Lucas got a concussion, which was probably pretty obvious from the footage. Big praise to the medical team, because it's a tricky situation to be in when it's two minutes into a game. So, well done to them because it's the player’s health that's the most important thing. He's out for the next two games.”
Archie Gray - Out
Gray is out for two to three weeks with a calf strain.
Dominic Solanke - Out
Frank has said this week: “We want him back and no setbacks. We're very aware of doing it in the right way. It is going in the right way, but he won't be back before the international break.”
Ben Davies - Out
Davies picked up a muscular injury during the last international window and will remain out for a few weeks, likely returning in late November.
Dejan Kulusevski - Out
Kulusevsk is is going to remain out until late November. Frank has said: “Deki is still not on the grass. We're working very hard to get him fit as quickly as possible.”
Radu Dragusin - Out
Dragusin is back in training but now needs a pre-season of sorts. Frank has said: “He's fully integrated into training now. An ACL [injury] is not tricky, but it's such a big injury, because you're out for nine months, so you need to build strength in the knee. He is definitely getting closer to being involved. I think we plan to play him in a friendly [during the Nov break], as I understand it.” A late November return is likely.
Yves Bissouma - Out
Bissouma is out for a few weeks with an ankle injury he picked up on international duty. Frank explained: “Biss, unfortunately, had a situation with the national team, I think everyone saw that, so he got a ligament injury to his ankle that will keep him out for weeks.”
Kota Takai - Out
After returning from a foot issue, Takai now has a quad problem. Frank has said: “Kota is a quad problem. He's about to be training, soon.”
Maddison ruptured his ACL during a pre-season clash and will much of the season.
