Newcastle United are saying goodbye to Peter Silverstone in another behind-the-scenes departure.
Just when you think Newcastle United look settled off the pitch, a new exit emerges.
Peter Silverstone is now leaving Newcastle, and looks set to take on a big role at Juventus.
Silverstone has served as Newcastle’s chief commercial officer since his arrival in October 2022.
Silverstone only spoke about PIF’s ambition at Newcastle last month, but he is now on his way out.

Newcastle United must find some stability after Peter Silverstone’s exit
Newcastle fans have become accustomed to seeing behind-the-scenes staff move on.
The sporting director role has been a revolving door, with Dan Ashworth, Paul Mitchell and now Ross Wilson all taking the job since PIF’s takeover.
Directors Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghoudoussi both departed Newcastle last year, while CEO Darren Eales sadly stepped away on health grounds.
MORE NEWCASTLE STORIES
Silverstone now joins the list, which has set off alarm bells for many Toon fans.
So much behind-the-scenes upheaval is never ideal, but Newcastle will hopefully enjoy some stability moving forward.
David Hopkinson and Ross Wilson have struck up a strong relationship in the early days of their time together at St James’ Park.
Hopkinson is on board as Newcastle’s CEO and Wilson has taken over the director of football role.
The early reports are positive, and it’s down to these two men to bring some much-needed stability off the pitch.
David Hopkinson’s review could be a driving force
Hopkinson has been conducting a 100-day review of Newcastle’s entire operation.
The new Magpies CEO wants to find out everything about the culture and the staff he has inherited at St James’ Park.
Departures as part of that review were perhaps inevitable, and multiple departures have now materialised.
Director of People and Talent Dominica O’Neil and Partnership Marketing Executive Joe Mack are also moving on, according to The Chronicle.
Some are taking new opportunities, and others are just moving on.
Hopkinson’s review may lead to more departures in the coming weeks, but we cannot be in a situation where he or Wilson are gone in a year or even 18 months.
Newcastle need a settled group off the pitch, and Hopkinson’s changes need to be with the long-term in mind at St James’ Park.
