Man United are preparing for a trip to Tottenham on Saturday afternoon looking to get back to winning ways.

They face a Tottenham side on Saturday who were simply abysmal against Chelsea over the weekend. Even worse for Thomas Frank’s side, they are dealing with a lot of injury problems, and could miss up to 11 of their first-team players when they welcome United to North London on Saturday.

United, on the other hand, are in a fantastic position with injuries, as they have just one player who has been ruled out for the game over the weekend, a stark contrast.

Amorim said last week: “He started training with us, but we had to change some things in the exercise for him, so slowly he is going to get better. He is really good. He gives us that edge in every training session.”

Tottenham injury news

Tottenham have nine players who have already been ruled out of the game against United on Saturday. Long-term absentee James Maddison is first; He is expected to miss the majority of the season with an ACL tear in his right-knee.

Dejan Kulusevski is also out, he has a long-term knee injury too, but won’t be available until well after the international break. He joins Dominic Solanke too, who has an ankle problem. Frank said last week: “It is going in the right way, but he [Solanke] won't be back before the international break.”

Defender duo Ben Davies and Radu Dragusin are also out for Saturday. Davies is dealing with a hamstring injury that he suffered in mid-October, and Dragusin, a long-term ACL injury that he suffered last season. Both aren’t too far from a return, but Spurs are looking after the international break too with this pair.

Midfielder Yves Bissouma is also out of action, as he suffered an ankle injury during the last international break with Ivory Coast. Archie Gray is on a similar timeline to Bissouma too, with the pair expected back after the November break.

The last player ruled out is summer signing Kota Takai, who has a quad problem. However, he is expected back in training too, which Frank confirmed last week, so he is closing in on a return.

Finally, Lucas Bergvall suffered a concussion against Chelsea. It is not normally a huge issue, but protocol has to be followed, and so he won’t be rushed back into action. Frank said after the game: “That was a concussion. So, he was told he couldn't stay on, and I think the medical team did a good job in that aspect. Even if he wanted to stay on, it's the right decision that he stays off.”

In terms of players in doubt, Djed Spence suffered a knock during Spurs’ defeat to Chelsea over the weekend. Mohammed Kudus is in a similar position too, after he picked up a knock over the weekend, he is listed as a doubt for the United match.
