“Superb” Conor Bradley stars for Liverpool along with new “Mr Marvel”

Conor Bradley was faultless up against Vinicius Jr as Liverpool secured a 1-0 win at home to Real Madrid, with the right-back setting the tone in both defence and attack.

The Reds edged out the Spanish giants in the Champions League on Tuesday night, thanks to Alexis Mac Allister‘s header.

Here we compare our ratings with the Liverpool Echo, GOAL and the TIA readers.

Bradley (9.1) got the highest overall score, following a memorable performance at right-back.

It felt fitting that the Northern Irishman stood out the most on the night that Trent Alexander-Arnold returned to Anfield.

Ian Doyle of the Echo said Bradley “dominated” a world-class winger in Vinicius Jr., describing it as a “superb showing” overall.

Dominik Szoboszlai (9.0) was only just behind, though, as he continues to stand out as Liverpool’s best player so far this season.

GOAL’s Jamie Spencer thought the Hungarian was “constantly trying to make things happen,” while Keifer MacDonald of This Is Anfield simply called him “Liverpool’s Mr Marvel.”

Hugo Ekitike (6.85) got the lowest score for the Reds, but this wasn’t a night to focus on any negatives, thankfully!

What the stats say

According to FotMob, Mac Allister stood out the most, getting an 8.3 rating after being Liverpool’s match-winner.

Aside from the goal, the Argentine didn’t actually top anything statistically, but did make three tackles and five defensive contributions in total.

It was brilliant full-back pair Bradley and Andy Robertson who made the most defensive contributions for the Reds (six each), while Ibrahima Konate made the most clearances (three).

Mohamed Salah may not have scored or assisted on the night, but his work ethic was summed up by him winning a joint-most duels alongside Kylian Mbappe (10).
