**Rumours regarding David Moyes’ future have been circling, he could be sacked by Everton. So, unsurprisingly the question has been raised by West Ham fans, would you take him back?**
If you asked West Ham fans just a few days ago, would you get rid of Nuno Espirito Santo now for David Moyes to return. I think a lot of us would’ve said yes.
The Leeds and Brentford matches were appalling, Nuno’s team selection was very very strange, and I’ll be honest it already made be doubt he was right for the job.
However, he really got the fans back onside this weekend with the excellent 3-1 win over Newcastle United and he got the team spot on.
But on the other hand, if Nuno doesn’t stick with the players that played well against Burnley, or we lose against the Clarets the pressure will be more than back on Nuno.
We simply have to beat Burnley at London Stadium on Saturday, not only are they a relegation rival and one of the worst teams in the League.
The fixtures we have coming up after that are a lot less winnable – Bournemouth, Liverpool and Manchester United in the next three. So, three points is a must.
If we don’t beat Burnley and we lose the next three, which we are expected to, Nuno’s job could be under pressure, and by then David Moyes could be without a club.
The pressure is mounting on the Scotsman, mainly fan-led but there is also reports the board wants to replace him with a manager with a more attacking brand of football.
The Toffees face Fulham, United and Newcastle in their next three and potentially anything less than three or four points from those three matches could spell the end for Moyesy.
I personally don’t think Nuno will get sacked, and I wouldn’t swap Nuno for our Conference League winning hero as I have renewed hope in the Portuguese manager to do well in East London.
However, if Nuno does end up getting sacked and David Moyes is available, he’d no doubt be my first choice to keep us up.
It would be embarrassing to go back to him for a third time, but we would all get behind him, and it would be a whole lot less embarrassing if we were relegated to the Championship
