Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks failed to follow up their big win over the Indiana Pacers on Monday with another on Tuesday, as they fell prey to the Toronto Raptors on the road, via a score of 128-100.
Milwaukee just did not have it against the Raptors, who pounced on the fatigued legs of Antetokounmpo and company.
The two-time NBA Most Valuable Player still produced 22 points, but those were far from his usual production. Perhaps he could have added more if he had only gotten more favorable calls from the officials.
During one play in the second quarter, Antetokounmpo tried to finish at the rim but was challenged initially by Toronto forward Scottie Barnes. Replays of the play suggest that Barnes could have been called for a foul, but no whistle was blown.
Brandon Ingram then stripped the ball away from Antetokounmpo, though the former Duke Blue Devils star also probably fouled the Bucks star. After gaining possession of the ball, Ingram somehow got a ref to call a foul on Antetokounmpo, who couldn’t believe what just happened.
