“Carried off” | ExWHUEmployee | West Ham injury update

**West Ham currently have mixed news when it comes to current player injuries, with our insider ExWHUEmployee providing an update.**

Following what was a positive weekend for the club, with Nuno & the players earning a huge 3 points over Newcastle in what was our best performance of the season to date.

It was a welcome boost for all, as we look to build on the display and turn around a season which has seen the club languish in the bottom 3 in the opening months of the campaign.

Anticipation is understandably building for a huge fixture against Burnley at the London Stadium on Saturday, with Ex advising on the current injury situation within the squad.

“The positive news is that both Dinos Mavropanos and Niclas Fullkrug are on track and even slightly ahead of schedule with both players in light training.

“Although both are unlikely to be available for the Burnley fixture at the weekend, it’s felt that both should become available following the upcoming international break.

“The unfortunate news however centres around Lucasz Fabianski, who suffered a back spasm in training, with it understood that he had to be carried from the pitch.

“This has lead to the club recalling Finn Herrick from his loan spell at Boreham Wood, which understandably is a blow to the player, who was performing well for the National League side.

“We understand that Nuno decided to act following the injury to Fabianski, for Herrick to provide cover as the 3rd choice goalkeeper, after Areola and Hermansen.”
