William Osula nearly joined Eintracht Frankfurt last summer, but the Danish striker’s switch from Newcastle United fell through at the last minute, with the English side pulling out of the deal.

According to Sport Bild, Eintracht have not given up on their pursuit of the quick forward, but they are not alone in showing interest.

The report suggests that Stuttgart are also keen, as they are still looking to strengthen their attack following Nick Woltemade’s summer move to Osula's club, Newcastle United.

However, Stuttgart appear to have little chance of securing the signing, with Eintracht still understood to be firmly in pole position.

Eintracht are reportedly hoping to complete the deal in the winter, but Newcastle are reluctant to let Osula go.

Osula has scored three goals in 14 appearances for Newcastle this season. He was recently handed his first senior call-up to the Danish national team.
