Wolves have been linked with a move to appoint Bruno Lage as Vitor Pereira's replacement, but according to Alex Crook, those links are wide of the mark.
The Midlands outfit are in the market for a new manager after it was confirmed that Pereira had been relieved from his duties at the weekend, following their latest loss in the Premier League against Fulham. Pereira had only signed a new contract earlier in the season, but their results haven't improved, with the Wanderers sitting at the bottom of the table.
GIVEMESPORT sources recently confirmed that Gary O'Neil, another former manager of Wolves, had pulled out of the race to replace Pereira, despite being in advanced talks to return to the club. Wolves are still in the hunt for their new manager, and they'll be hoping to make an appointment as quickly as possible as they prepare to face Chelsea away from home in the Premier League at the weekend.
Bruno Lage to Wolves Links 'Wide of the Mark'

According to talkSPORT journalist Crook, links suggesting that Lage could make a return to Wolves as Pereira's replacement are 'wide of the mark'.
Reports from Portugal recently claimed that a return for Lage to Wolves was gaining strength this week, but Talking Wolves claim that their former manager wasn't interested in a return to the club. Wolves' options are slowly dwindling with a host of potential managers seemingly out of the running to become their new coach.
GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Ben Jacobs has also confirmed that Rob Edwards is an option for the Midlands club. The Middlesbrough manager has a release clause in his contract, meaning he could be easily attainable if he's keen on making the move to Molineux.
