Mohammed Kudus has issued an update on his injury ahead of Tottenham’s home Premier League clash with Manchester United on Saturday.

The winger has been Spurs' best attacker for much of the season, with the team at times too reliant on giving him the ball and hoping he can make something happen out of nothing.

Thomas Frank had to do without Kudus against Copenhagen on Tuesday night after he picked up a knock in training that meant he missed out on the squad entirely.

Kudus was in attendance and watched on from the stands before walking through the mixed zone after the match when he was asked whether he would be fit to face United this weekend.

"It's getting better, yes," Kudus said.

Wingers Brennan Johnson and Wilson Odobert both scored to push their cases for keeping their places in the starting line-up.

Johnson was shown a straight red card in the second half but that suspension only applies to European matches and so he will be available against United.

If fit, Kudus would be expected to return to the side regardless, having started every Premier League match this season and been rested for only 25 minutes.

He has scored only once, a deflected strike against Leeds, but Kudus has registered four league assists already.

No player has more than that in the Premier League this season, with only Jack Grealish and Quilindschy Hartman matching that tally.
