Aymeric Laporte has been discussing what he learned from Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.
The Spaniard made the move to the Etihad Stadium in 2018, leaving Athletic Club.
During his first six months in England, Laporte helped Man City break the Premier League points record, notching 100 to clinch the title in 2017/18.

What Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola taught Aymeric Laporte
Speaking on The Rest Is Football podcast this week, Laporte was asked what advice he was given by the Spanish coach.
Laporte replied by naming ‘the most important thing’ he learned from Guardiola.
He said: “He [Pep] didn’t give me some, any advice that I can say, yeah, this advice he gave to me.
“But the way to understand football, you know, the tactical situation in a game, that is the most important thing I learned from him.”
Manchester City’s Premier League rival wanted Aymeric Laporte
The 31-year-old has not returned to England since leaving Man City and is now back on the books of Athletic Club.
But had things gone differently, he could have been playing for one of the Sky Blues’ rivals.
Shortly before his City departure, it was reported by Fabrizio Romano that Arsenal really liked Laporte.
No move came to pass, of course, and he instead opted for a Saudi Pro League switch.
But as well as challenging his former boss for the Premier League title this season, Mikel Arteta could have been doing so with another of Pep’s ex-stars.
