Packers’ Romeo Doubs draws attention with remark on Tucker Kraft’s injury

The Green Bay Packers are still picking up the pieces from their Week 9, 16-13 loss at the hands of Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers, who came to Lambeau Field and pulled off an upset.

Making it all worse was the serious knee injury suffered in the third quarter by star tight end Tucker Kraft. His injury was later officially diagnosed as a torn ACL, which effectively ends his 2025 NFL season.

After the Panthers game, Green Bay wide receiver Romeo Doubs was emotional in sharing his thoughts on Kraft, but his comment came across as though the tight end suffered something more serious than a torn ligament.

“I wouldn’t wish that on one of our captains or even just your worst enemy,” Doubs said in a video that was also posted on Instagram. “I don’t wish that on any man. Tucker is in a better place, but again, you just got to…next question please”

Packers fans have all sorts of reactions to Doubs’ comment on Kraft’s injury

Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft (85) is assisted off the field after getting injured against the Carolina Panthers during their football game Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Carolina won 16-13.

Doubs was among the top performers for Green Bay’s offense in the Panthers game. He led all players in the contest with 91 receiving yards on seven receptions and 10 targets. He is in line to have an even bigger role in Green Bay’s attack with Kraft sidelined.

As for his comment, it got the attention of the internet, with several Packers and football fans having mixed reactions to it.

“Ong I love emotional doubs,” said a fan on Instagram.

Another one said: “nah this is the stuff we like to see and shows how much kraft dinner mean him going down will motivate this team to wake up and live to potential”

From a commenter: “Nah I feel the same way say it with your chest Rome”

“He probably meant “he’s in good hands rn” that’s all😂,” a social media user posted.

Via a different commenter: “This man in distraught 😫”

Said another: “I think he meant Tucker’s ACL is in a better place. RIP ACL”

With a 5-2-1 record, Green Bay looks to make a big statement in Week 10 against the reigning Super Bowl champions Philadelphia Eagles at Lambeau Field.
