Andre Cury has suggested that the representatives of Vitor Roque are expecting bids worth €50 million from Premier League clubs.
In an interview with Globo Esporte, as relayed by SPORT, Andre Cury has suggested that Vitor Roque’s entourage is expecting bids worth €50 million from Premier League clubs. Chelsea, West Ham United, and Manchester United are interested in signing the resurgent Brazilian striker. Additionally, Barcelona will benefit from a sale, recouping €10 million from a transaction of €50 million.
Cury said, “We already had an offer from the Arab world for €35 million, which didn’t interest us. Now we are waiting to receive a proposal of around €50 million from the Premier League. The plan was to come back here, recover his strength, and also explore the market. If a good offer comes in for everyone involved and they understand that he needs to leave, he’s willing to listen, but he’s very happy at Palmeiras. Now the goal is to try to win the Brazilian Championship and the Copa Libertadores.”
Vitor Roque and his resurgence
Vitor Roque has resurrected his plummeting stock since joining Palmeiras from Barcelona earlier this year. The 20-year-old returned to Brazil after struggling to make his mark for Barcelona, having moved to Europe amid hype and fanfare surrounding him. However, the South American attacker never received a fair opportunity during his spell with the Blaugrana.
However, the Brazilian striker has landed on his feet at Palmeiras, and he has amassed 17 goals and five assists in 38 appearances in Serie A and the Copa Libertadores thus far in the 2025 season. Meanwhile, the youngster’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs. Chelsea, Manchester United, and West Ham United are among the prospective suitors vying for his signature.
A man in demand
Chelsea’s interest in Vitor Roque is baffling. The Blues signed Joao Pedro and Liam Delap in the summer transfer window, and Marc Guiu is also in Enzo Maresca’s squad. So, it is difficult to see how the Barcelona flop fits into the scheme of things. As for Manchester United, the Red Devils may part ways with Joshua Zirkzee in the coming weeks, as the Dutchman is keen on securing regular game time in the second half of the 2025/26 season.
So, the former Barcelona prospect is an option worth considering for Manchester United. As for West Ham United, they must sign a productive striker to rescue a stuttering campaign in the second half of the 2025/26 season. Niclas Fullkrug has struggled to make his mark since arriving from Borussia Dortmund last year, and Callum Wilson is approaching the twilight of his career.
With Vitor Roque’s entourage expecting bids worth €50 million from Premier League clubs, it will be interesting to see if Chelsea, Manchester United, and West Ham submit offers to secure his services. Barcelona will also benefit if the 20-year-old Brazilian striker moves in a big-money move.
